weekend wishes

to find some new pyrex thrifting this weekend...

to thank all of you for helping to cure me of being cutting challenged (for 1 quilt at least)...

to get my yarn and embroidery floss organized...

to make a new cover for my machine...

that i can hold this true in my own life right now...

to get some work done cleaning up the "mommyhood"...

to get some time to start on some cozy leg warmers for me...

to not be scared that valentine's day stuff is already everywhere...

to get finished reading the huge stack of mags i've been hoarding for months...

and to not scare children & adults with my first time in a bathing suit in a very, very long time.

the word bathing suit instills fear into my heart. the girls are both starting swimming lessons up this weekend and yes, that means i have to go out in public in a bathing suit - eeek! i'm scared. i'm gonna break all the pool rules and run across the deck and get in that darn water as fast as possible. i know, i know, i shouldn't care, but i'm a woman and i do. here's to hoping my girls (aka boobs) fit in my swimsuit in the first place.

we're hoping the endless rain is going to stop this week and break out in some sunshine so we can go frolick along the water and get some pretty pics. i'm looking forward to watching the golden globes on sunday (love seeing the dresses & hair) and i'm also planning on going thrifting this weekend. send your pyrex and vintage sheet vibes my way...it's been a while since i've had a chance to go scour the shops. i hope that means i'm gonna find something good..i've got that feeling.

i'm happy to say that i spent an hour cutting yesterday and it was so much more enjoyable! i actually got the last yard or so relatively straight..haha, and some of them i cut with one slice! so proud of myself. i owe it to all of your wonderful tips. who knew that i was doing it all wrong. i never thought there were would be so much involved with using a rotary cutter properly, but honestly there is. even the process of how to cut it was much easier. i was doing it the hardest way possible. i have a whole renewed faith to being able to quilt again.

it's been one of those weeks where my to do list is way bigger than my time. i have so many fun projects and goals for this blog and just not enough time in my day to get them all going. so frustrating. i think i'm organized but i'm also starting to think i need to revamp my process and schedule to be a tad more efficient for 2011 or i'm never going to get a good chunk of it accomplished and i tell ya, that in itself would make me cry.

so on that topic what do you do to keep your goals and projects organized? do you use a planner? calendar? notebook? what kind of schedule do you use to blog/sew/craft? let's share and of course.....here's wishing you all have a wonderful, relaxing, sleep filled, laughter full weekend.
