READING || GIRL'S GUIDE TO DIY FASHION BOOK REVIEW!

I love to sew and being a mom to 2 girls, one of my hopes is that they will both also love to sew. Rachel Low's new book - "Girl's Guide to DIY Fashion" is a breath of fresh air in our house. Both my girls went crazy for it and were begging to get sewing after flipping through the bright, colorful and inspiring pages!

Rachel Low of Pins & Needles - "a sewing, fabric and modern crafts boutique and studio", wrote The Girls Guide to DIY Fashion with girls 7 - 14 years old in mind. Rachel was inspired by all her students at Pins & Needles in New York City. The projects included in the book combine a "sewing machine, hand-sewing, and other DIY (do-it-yourself) techniques". I truly love how Rachel encourages girls throughout the book to be inspired to express their creative style through things like mood board exercises & fashion illustration. She also makes it easy for them to individualize each project with their material and fabric choices.

If you know of a girl looking to get into sewing and DIY, or know one who already loves it, The Girl's Guide to DIY Fashion is for them! Get a copy at our affiliate Amazon or at your local bookstore. I highly recommend it and I definitely know what projects my girls will be working on this summer - I can't wait!
