READING || KNITTING WITHOUT NEEDLES - THE GREAT AMERICAN POUF TOUR!
Ok folks, are you ready to really cozy up for the fall/winter season? I'm drooling over here! I'm so excited to be a part of the blog tour for Knitting Without Needles: A Stylish Introduction to Finger and Arm Knitting by Anne Weil of Flax and Twine's! The lovely & talented Anne sent me one of her amazing arm knit poufs to join in the Great American Pouf Tour! To say I love mine is an understatement! This thing is AMAZING!
Knitting Without Needles brings your next creation within arm's reach. An all-in-one resource for a new kind of craft, this book shows you how to loop yarn with your fingers or forearms to create charming knits.
I'm just dying over how cozy this makes one of my fave spots to curl up and knit or hand sew! The kids are also enjoying our new pouf! It's lofty, soft and oh so fun to have around the house! I'm sure it will be used and loved in more than one room in our home. And the great thing is that now that I have Knitting Without Needles I can make our family another one!
Knitting Without Needles doesn't disappoint either! This book is filled to the brim with gorgeousness! True to Anne's signature style and aesthetic the book is stunning! The kind of book that I just get giddy over! Clean, bright, and inviting with photography so pretty you just want to jump in!
The styling, done by Brittany Jepsen (of The House that Lars Built) and Pam Morris, is top notch and creates such a fabulous vibe for the book! Add in great graphic design and Anne's well written and easy to follow patterns & designs and you've got yourself a pretty rockin' book!
Knitting Without Needles is definitely going to be one of your go-to resources for this revolutionary craft. The book covers "two popular techniques: Finger knitting, a form of weaving loops of yarn through one another on your hand to create long chains of knit fabric; and arm knitting, which uses your forearms to loop strands of yarn into chunky knits".
Both of these techniques are fun, super easy (and no, you don't have to know how to knit to do them), great for all ages and provide great near-instant gratification - some of the projects can literally be done in just 45 minutes!! These sound like my kinds of project folks! Bring on the holiday gift making!
