mackenzie and i were in the middle of our bi-weekly library visit when my eye caught the binding of this book, buried in the wrong section in the library. i must have missed the boat when this came out. any mother who appreciates handmade whose daughter loves ballet would love to ogle this beauty. there is photography for your wee ones to look at and lots of projects for mom's/grandma's to make for them. i keep flipping through it over and over, always finding something new that i missed before. click here for an inside peek.

the book has a brief history of ballet, personal quotes & journal and easy projects ranging from leg warmers, jewelry, hair accessories, ballet clothes, and purses, to ipod covers and memory albums. there's a project for everyone. whether you are a dancer or not, go on and make a ballet skirt and some leg warmers and have some fun - "dance like nobody is watching; love like you've never been hurt. sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."
