I was so happy to recently hear that my talented and inspiring friend Anne Weil (of Flax & Twine) released her second book “Weaving Within Reach: Beautiful Woven Projects by Hand or by Loom”. This truly is a weaving book for anyone and everyone! Anne says “it includes a simple and textural approach to weaving, exploring projects that folks can actually use” and that’s so true! Anne has put together the book in a way that allows a reader to be able take on the projects in the book without getting overwhelmed by looms and tools. Two-thirds of the books projects are done by free-hand or with made looms. Projects range from bags/totes, jewelry, home decor projects and more! There’s truly a project for everyone - from advanced weavers to beginners!

Oh my gosh you guys!!!! I've been waiting for this day so long! I'm so beyond excited to give you a sneak peek of our newest book "WITHIN: Knitting Patterns to Warm the Soul", by myself and Jane Richmond - coming October 5th!!!! EEEEEEEK!!!! I hope you all will love it as much as we do. We poured our hearts and souls into this one and are so happy with how this lovely new collection turned out!
Last week I had my friend and talented designer -Andrea Rangelon the blog with her great guest post on colorwork (see it here) and today I'm super thrilled to review & giveaway her brand new book "Rugged Knits: 24 Practical Projects for Everyday Living"! I'm so beyond proud and thrilled for her (both as a friend and a colleague)! This book speaks so true to Andrea's personal sense of style - the knits are functional, yet they are beautiful with thoughtful details. When Hannah Fettig of Knitbot told me she was working on a new book a while back I have to admit I seriously did a happy jig. Hannah has been one of my favorite designers for years and her newest collection, Home & Away, definitely does not disappoint! This gorgeous new book, filled with 9 pieces that are everyday wearable & true to Hannah's clean aesthetic, is a must have for any knitters bookshelf.
