Long time knit along sponsors of ours - Pom Pom Quarterly are back again with a fascinating and interesting look behind the patterns in their newest issue! As a knitwear designer who is inspired by things such as books, music, scenery, art etc. I couldn't get enough of this post! I love seeing mood boards and where designers are drawing inspiration from! Such a cool idea and one I thought you'd all be interested in as well. Many years ago I started a knit along. I didn’t know many knitters where I lived (and let’s face it I was lonely with wee babies and figured others were too) and I wanted to create a virtual happy place where knitters could chat, form lasting friendships and encourage each other in both life and our craft, in a warm and safe environment. I feel beyond blessed to say that years later our annual knit alongs are still going strong and a large percentage of our knitters are from that very first knit along. They’ve been through loss, heartbreak, & hardship together but also great joy and love over all these years. I can truly say those chats in our Ravelry group bring me so much joy. It’s the friendship that is so special. It’s magic if you ask me. It’s a special bond made over stitches and I’m so thankful for all of our members, sponsors and moderators for showing so much love and kindness to each other every year. I truly believe everyone needs a knitter bestie 💕🙌🏻. So don’t be shy - come join in - all skill levels are welcome.

Each year I get so excited whenever Tin Can Knits does a guest post on the blog for our KAL's! I love these gals and really enjoy the wealth of information on their blog! It's been pretty quiet around here on the blog the last few weeks. I've been busy trying to survive spring break the last 16+ days while still working with the kiddos home. It was fun to have them here but also very hard to juggle/balance all the mom duties with full time work as well. But we made it, I survived, and after I dropped them off this morning I sat and I listened to the quiet and actually missed the chaos......for about a minute...lol.

KNITTING || TOPS, TANKS & TEES KNIT ALONG DATES!

It's almost time for our annual Tops, Tanks & Tees Knit Along! I'm so excited to announce our #TTTKAL, which is one of our two annual knit alongs, is starting next week! Yay!

We encourage you to explore different fibers to knit with and to make yourself a new fave garment that can be worn during the warmer months! No reason to put those knits away just because it's hot out!

Whether it's a tank top, a tee shirt, a top, or even a cardi - as long as it doesn't have full length sleeves you can knit it for our TTTKAL!

So mark your calendars and get ready for our 2015 Tops, Tanks & Tees Knit Along!

May 13th - June 3rd

The knit along will run tentatively from May 13th until June 3rd but there's always a possibility for an extension.

Sign ups and the TTTKAL Homepage where you will find all things Top, Tanks & Tees Knit Along will be live next week.

Use #TTTKAL for all your projects & on social media!

In the meantime don't fret - there's already a pre-TTTKAL thread going in our Ravelry group HERE so jump in on the fun!

PS. My back injury that I posted about last week is unfortunately worse than we originally thought. It's going to be a longer recovery time and right now I'm supposed to sit as little as possible. This is making it really hard for me to be on the computer right now so it's going to be quiet on the blog front until next week. But I'm hoping to be back soon! I miss you guys!
