If you've ever been scared to knit a garment now's the time to conquer your fears and give it a shot! Our Summer Sweater Knit Along encourages knitters to keep on knitting garments throughout the summer months so they can sport their new handmade lovelies just in time for fall/winter!

I've been working on my Bridie by Bristol Ivy for the Tops, Tanks & Tees Knit Along this year and really enjoying it. But being the gemini I am, I also started crushing on the idea of also having a cotton top to go along with my linen Bridie. So along came the Kobuk Tee and some pretty cotton from We Are Knitters. It's been pretty quiet around here on the blog the last few weeks. I've been busy trying to survive spring break the last 16+ days while still working with the kiddos home. It was fun to have them here but also very hard to juggle/balance all the mom duties with full time work as well. But we made it, I survived, and after I dropped them off this morning I sat and I listened to the quiet and actually missed the chaos......for about a minute...lol.

My favorite part of our knit alongs is the wonderful and amazing community of knitters who join in each year!

What makes knit alongs so fun? Community and frienships (both new & old). One thing I notice and treasure so much is the loving and kind group of knitters in our Ravelry group. You guys are always busily chatting away (I can hardly keep up..lol) and sharing, inspiring, helping, teaching and just enjoying knitting with each other virtually.

Ravelry is fun to use but can sometimes seem intimidating if you've never used it. Here's some tips below to get the most out of our knit along thread!
